PlayScape’s play area is designed exclusively for children 5 and under, and enclosed so parents can watch comfortably from the café. Ages 0–5

• Soft play section — Dedicated soft play equipment scaled for crawlers and toddlers, baby-proofed throughout with outlet covers, corner protectors, and childproof gates and locks.

The entire space is deep cleaned nightly and sanitized multiple times daily. Child-focused washrooms include change tables and toddler-size toilets. High chairs, adult and child-size tables, dedicated stroller parking, and free Wi-Fi are all available.

Waivers are required for all children before entering and can be signed in advance at playscapecafe.com/waiver. Socks are mandatory for all guests (available for purchase on-site). No food or drink in the play area (covered drinks excepted). The play area is reserved for children 5 and under; older children are welcome in the café.

Open Play Tickets, Reservations & Plans

Open play sessions are 2 hours. Drop-ins are welcome but reservations guarantee your slot, particularly during busy mornings (10 am–12:30 pm). Bookings open one week in advance and can be rescheduled up to one hour before. Tickets for children 15 months to 5 years include one complimentary coffee or tea for the accompanying adult; infants 6 months and under are free. The Café

PlayScape’s full-service café uses ethically sourced beans from local roaster Oughtred Coffee, prepared by trained baristas. The menu also features premium matcha from Whisk, freshly made smoothies, and rotating seasonal drinks. Food comes from local Vancouver suppliers including To Live For (vegan-friendly treats), Bonus Bakery, and Dalina (sandwiches, wraps, and kid-favourite mac & cheese). A take-out window is available for quick stops. The café welcomes all guests — no children required to visit.

Birthday Parties & Private Rentals

PlayScape is a popular birthday party venue in Vancouver’s Riley Park and Main Street area for children turning 5 or younger. Weekend and weekday evening party slots are available, with the entire café and play area reserved exclusively for up to 30 guests. Each rental includes complimentary drip coffee and tea, a $50 café food and beverage credit, a dedicated staff member, full A/V access (Sonos wireless music via Spotify; TVs for slideshows or streaming), and 15 minutes of setup time before and after. Outside catering and decorations are welcome; feltboard, pins, and painter’s tape are available for décor. No alcohol permitted.
