Play Space at The Park Okotoks
🎯 Recommended Age: 0 to 12 years
The Park’s play space is designed to spark imagination and foster new friendships in a safe, welcoming environment. Open for drop-in play every Wednesday and Friday from 9 am–3 pm during the September–June school year, the facility gives children the freedom to explore and play while parents relax at the café with a proper coffee and a hot meal alongside them. The open layout keeps children visible at all times, and the peanut-free environment means families with allergies can visit with confidence.
During the summer months (July and August), a separate drop-in schedule applies — check theparkonline.ca from June onwards for updated summer hours.
A seasonal outdoor play area is also available from May 15 to September 15 (weather permitting), featuring a playhouse, pirate ship, and additional interactive play features. A bouncy castle can be added to outdoor birthday party bookings for an extra dose of warm-weather fun.
The Café at The Park
The café is a genuine differentiator that sets The Park apart from every other indoor playground in the Okotoks area. Serving Rosso Coffee espresso drinks alongside a full food menu, parents can enjoy a proper sit-down experience while their children play. The menu includes toasties (Cheesy, Ham & Cheesy, Veggie, Meaty, and The Parkwich), pasta with butter or pesto, smoothies (Strawberry & Banana, Mixed Berry, Chocolate & Banana, Green Park), kidcuterie, fruit and veg, muffins, cookies, kombucha, juice boxes, and steamed drinks. No outside food is permitted.
Creative Kids Programs
The Park runs one of Okotoks’ most loved early childhood programs: the Creative Kids Program for ages 3–5, a play-based preschool focused on social, emotional, and intellectual development. Classes are intentionally small (maximum 15 children) to preserve connection and consistency. Two formats are available: a Monday morning session (9 am–12 pm) and a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon session (12:30–3:30 pm), both running September through June. A Tiny Creative Kids Program for younger children and Creative Kids Camps running year-round (including summer) round out the programming. Details and curriculum at theparkonline.ca/programs.
